The Estação Art Gallery (Rua Ferreira de Araújo, 625, Pinheiros), always with the aim of publicity of the best Brazilian popular art, brings an interesting exhibition with the work of 3 sculptors from Minas Gerais: Artur Pereira (1920-2003), Geraldo Teles de Oliveira (G.T.O., 1913-1990) and Jadir João Egídio (1933). These three masters from Minas Gerais, each of which has his very own characteristics, represent the expressive depth of popular art, with an emotional and traditional presence based on the folklore of Minas Gerais, reflecting the authentic Brazilian culture, without any artificialisms proposed as a result of the soul, intuition and also the creativity that transform whole blocks of wood into works of art that dignify myths and gods.
